a performative concert constructed thanks to the contributions of a group of men and women who I asked to tell me about their female (anti-)hero who had an impact on their life and/or practice. They could choose from a personal relative to a fictional character or historic figure. I wanted the participants to propose a woman whose actions, words, music and philosophy altered in some fashion their perception of womanhood and possibly their basic assumptions about heroism. Based on these submissions I assembled, composed, wrote, mixed and re-mixed a multi-faceted and complex version of the historical EVE. Her voice is the voice of womankind, uprooted from it’s judeo-christian origins and reborn in the form of song and story-telling.
