Marcel d’Entremont, tenor

Nova Scotian tenor Marcel d’Entremont is a recent graduate of McGill University where he was the recipient of the 2018 Wirth Vocal Prize, the largest prize offered at a Canadian university. Recent performances include Rodolfo in a cross-country tour of La bohème with Against the Grain Theatre, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte with Opera McGill, and the tenor soloist in Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn, and Strings, with the PEI Symphony Orchestra. Marcel made his international debut as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni in 2016, in Rouen, France, and at the famous Palais de Versailles. He previously appeared as a young artist with the Vancouver Opera, Toronto Summer Music Festival, Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance, and the National Arts Centre. In 2014, Marcel represented the province of Nova Scotia at the National Music Festival of Canada where he won 1st place in the voice category as well as the Grand Award for overall best performer.
