We hope you enjoy another piano video from Merriam Pianos – this one is ‘playing-only’, meaning all you’ll hear is the Concert 8, as recorded through a stereo portable recorder in our brand-new Vaughan Ontario showroom.

Stu Harrison from Merriam Pianos plays through what the American Film Institute has called the #1 movie song of all time: “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, written by Harold Arlen for the movie Wizart of Oz.

The C. Bechstein Concert 8 Upright Piano is regarded by many to be the finest upright piano money can buy. It’s scale design is practically perfect, with a terrific balance from bass to treble; the transition from steel to copper strings is almost undetectable, and the action design feels like a grand. The piano makes use of Val Di’ Fiemme spruce, something no other upright piano in the world can claim. The pianos are meticulously hand-made in Germany, and utilize much of the same design and material elements as their Concert-series grands – also a rarity in the piano world.

We hope you enjoy the video, and for a full in-depth look at the instrument, be sure to check out the full review of the Concert 8 on our channel.

Thanks for watching!
